Lineup confirmed!
I am please to announce that the lineup for the 2008 show
has now been confirmed. The Seventh society in this year's concert
will be a newcomer to the Showcase family, Mossley Amateur Operatic
and Dramatic Society. Thyey will be performing an excerpt from their
April 2008 Show, A Chorus Line. See the Concert
and Society pages for more details
of the 2008 show and MAODS respectively.

Gallery updated... for 2006 and 2007!
The gallery page has finally
been updated with photos from 2006 and 2007. Apologies for the delay,
but grabbing stills from the DVD is a very time consuming process
- many of the individual frames are blurred because they portray
motion, which is fine for moving pictures but not when trying to
acquire still images! I have also put some 2007 stills online, but
for speed, I've put them all in the same group. Please email me
the society and show (and caption if you have one) for any photos
you can identify and I'll update the details.
If you have any photos from any showcase that you can email to me,
I will upload them as soon as I can. The more information you can
give, the better, but I'll put any unidentified photos in a 'misc'
section.

Updates required!
The societies page hasn't
been updated for a while. If you have any information about forthcoming
shows, or any of the contact details have changed, please let me
know.

Showcase
2007 - another resounding success
Showcase 2007 raised the roof again last night, once again
showing the wealth of talent on the amateur scene in the Manchester
area. The audience were treated to a wide repetoire of songs from
shows, from the opening Jekyl and Hyde, through Buddy, Rocky Horror
Picture Show, 42nd Street, Spamalot, Rent and Starlight Express,
to the Showcase Anthem, World In Union.
Watch this space for confirmation of how much has been raised for
this year's charities.

Apologies for the loss of service...
You may be wondering why the site hasn't been updated for
a while... well, we have no real excuse, but your webmasters have
appeared in 3 shows plus showcase in the last few months, so we
haven't been able to devote as much time as we would have liked!
Normal service will soon be resumed, with a gallery from the 2006
concert (currently being collated) and, depending how quick we can
source the DVDs this year, the 2007 concert too!
2nd July 2007

Manchester. See our societies page
for details.
We've also confirmed this year's charities - the main charity is
Henshaws Society for the Blind, and the raffle charity is Kidscan.
